It was close live. On the video he was indisputably safe. So "not close" that I really can't comprehend how they stuck with it. Not bang bang at all and I've seen many others on replay I'd consider toss ups. That was no toss up.

I feel like you were watching entirely different replays than I was. I didn't see a single angle that wasn't blocked in a way that it was impossible to see when he was tagged in relation to when he touched the base. I think it was close enough that you could say the tie goes to the runner but I would really like to see the replay you saw, because the ones I saw showed basically nothing, other than the fact it was basically a tie at the bag.

I'm at the game, so maybe. I'm really not a home cooking fan, but the replay on the board was CLEAR that he was safe.

Brewers vs LHP in 2019 not a good matchup. Hoping Davies can continue to pitch well. Seems like Cain coming alive. If they can win this game, the streak is on.

Davies was pitching well?

He only lost his last 4...

On a side note, what year is the IGT picture of Ray from? Looks like about 60 pounds ago, lol.

Last outing was good. But he’s not a good pitcher, trying to be hopeful.

The fact this team has to play Grandal at first as many games as it has is everything that is wrong with this season. 4 runs against Ray ain't happening. Take as many pitches as possible try to get him out by the 8th and hope.

Ray is already at 56 pitches. He's not pitching into the 8th

Have you seen Arcia and company? Some of these guys may have no idea that's the approach to take. Hope you are right.

Arcia drew like a 7 pitch walk in AB #1.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Gotta be hard to control yourself. You work a great AB and then that.

In response to this repeated and often hot false narrative, I'll point out again, that the Brewers lead the national league in pitches per plate appearance. In order for Ray to work in to the eighth inning at his current pace he'll have to work somewhere around 130 pitches or so, and I'm not sure that's on the agenda given that most major league pitchers are yanked around 90 to 100 pitches.

Don't throw fast = bad pitcher?

No. I don't get how someone who slobbered over the pitachability of Aaron Wilkerson for a big chunk of the season can call Davies "not a good pitcher". Par for the course with you though.

One advantage of the all-black uniform look, it's very slimming...

Should be based loaded nobody out, tying run up. These guys in blue are changing games with their incompetence.

Why should it be bases loaded? Moose shouldve been rung up.

It has always been this way, though. It doesn't make it right, but human error used to be a part of the game. With all the technology and shown bad calls, it is just revealing the poor calls. I don't think the umps are worse now than they were 10, 20, or 50 years ago.

Yeah I missed that. I had been following Grandal's AB on Gameday and just saw Moose walked. It's a wash then.

Ray on pace for 160 pitches to get through the 8th. Should be fun to follow.
