Francis with 9 K's in 6 IP for Biloxi. Have to think some starting pitching breaks through next year between Brown or Supak figuring things out or File, Bettinger, or Francis not hitting that same AAA wall.

Final Line for Ethan Small tonight: 3.2IP, 0H, 0R, 2BB, 7K. 66 pitches/39 strikes

Doesn't look like A ball has been much of a challenge for him.

T-Rats have had a nice second half, now above .500 for the season.

Ad then there is Zavolas, Lazar, Webb, Rasmussen and Ashby (and Jankins, Roegner, etc.). That's a lot of guys knocking on the door. I feel like a Tampa Bay Rays fan--if they actually had any fans...

Peralta’s line:

2 ip 0 h 0 bb 5 Ks

Great to see the command, this is big.

Was there command? He’s normally wild in the zone. He threw 38 pitches, only 24 strikes. And he allowed 2 hits before striking out the side. You have his line wrong.

I agree with most of your post but I dont think I would say he ONLY threw 24 for strikes. That is 2 out of every 3 pitches for strikes. That seems pretty solid.

Command and effectively wild in the zone which equates to control are two entirely different things.

exactly. When he throws strikes, he still rarely hits spots. It's usually the catcher moving the glove a lot

Ugh, missed the 2 hits he gave up, silly me. Not as impressive as I thought.
