My reasoning:

 

Stearns lineup vs LHP is incapable of producing enough runs to win games at this point in the season. I don’t care what the stats are configured to say. Won’t leadoff the one player that has injected life into this moribund lineup > Grisham

 

Grandal not as good right handed hitter as left. Pina > ugh.

Cain and Braun better vs LHP, Arcia/Perez > both bad hitters. That leaves Yelich, and for quite awhile now has STUGGLED vs LHP.

 

6 worse hitters > 2 better > vs LHP. Freitas would help, but even if he hit .200 points less than his .530 vs LHP it’s not gonna be the difference maker.

 

I know Stearns was counting on Aguilar this year but, he’s known for months this team’s massive weakness vs LHP and for whatever reason has refused to make attempts to remedy. Why?

The inability to score is what is killing this team more than anything. Our pitching hasn't been as terrible as some here are suggesting. Houser was great last night. You aren't gonna win a lot of games when you can't score. Period.
