Dash Drop Mudcats 4-2 in Zebulon

The Dash held Carolina to just two hits in the series clinching victory

Mudcats fall below .500 for the season.

Read how the club lost its DH for the game, nearly had a pitcher bat, and hey, LHP/CF Clayton Andrews is now in Biloxi anyway.

Bickford - 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R/ER, 0 BB, 5 K

Hasn't given up a run or earned run since 6/30; his WHIP on that date was 2.85, but now is down to 1.30. He is starting to make things interesting. Maybe he's finally healthy.

Jarvis and Lazar quite the tandem tonight as well.

No Brewers pitched (again).

19-year-old Elian Gonzalez, who has played all over the infield but DH'd here, doubled and walked. He drove in both co-op runs in the 5th of this seven-inning game.

Box: DSL Diamondbacks #2 Squad 3, DSL Brewers 0

A rare Tuesday off slowed the Cervecerito bats, only two singles and three walks drawn here.

Four Brewer pitchers only allowed one earned run over eight innings. Shortstop Alberis Ferrer committed two errors. One of those miscues led to two first-inning runs.
