The Cubs' AA club loses its 12th straight home game, that's a shame.

Box: AZL Athletics "Green" Squad 5, AZL Brewers Blue 4, 12 innings

Both teams tallied a single run in the new-extra-inning-rules 10th. The Blue Crew lost it on a Jeyner Baez wild pitch.

The Baby Blues only managed five singles and one walk while fanning 18 times, yet they did manage to tally in four individual innings.

Recently-signed former Nationals farmhand RHP Jake Cousins (25 years old and technically rehabbing from a Wisconsin assignment) and 21-year-old 36th round pick RHP Keegan McCarville excelled in the middle innings.

Five Brewers pitchers managed to lower their substantial ERA's here, kudos, gents.

Second 2019 HR for 18-year-old switch-hitting Larry Ernesto ($925,000 signing, 2017's July 2nd signing period), but it's been a struggle otherwise.

RF Francis Florentino reached base three times, including a triple. Non-drafted 3B Matthew Mika also was on base thrice. Three others reached twice.
