Could be nothing, but from the Missions beat reporter, Joe Alexander, just a few minutes ago...

 

Late starting lineup change for San Antonio Missions: Lucas Erceg at 3B and batting 5th instead of Travis Shaw.

If he came up it would almost have to be either a pitcher or Gamel going down I would think. Unless they go with no backup SS again.

Cain is reportedly dealing with an oblique injury so I wonder if they may decide to place him on the IL? Counsell already acknowledged he was unavailable today and won’t play tomorrow. Just a stab in the dark though, it could be completely unrelated.

 

Edit: Apparently Counsell also said Cain would NOT be going on the IL with the oblique issue per Haudricourt.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
