So, Drew Pomeranz, anyone?

The guy with a 6.10 ERA as a starter pitching in a pitcher's park?

Most of our pitchers are anywhere between average and crap, and the guys we traded for fall into that same category.

I'd pick up Chase's option next year, trade Davies, and keep Woodruff, Chase, Faria, Hader, Burnes, Peralta, Knebel, and gut just about everything else.

To be clear, I’m advocating running him out there for the middle innings today, on the theory that he can’t be much worse than what Davies is giving us today. Not that he should become a starter or be brought back next year.

When I saw the wind blowing in, I knew we were gonna' have a tough one today.

The Brewers have a hard time scoring in such games or in games that are in "big" ballparks.

Can we move the walls out at Miller Park and build a speed and contact team for a change?

Long flyouts, strikeouts, and terrible hitting with runners on due to lack of contact hitters is something that has not worked well enough in Milwaukee.

We need a slap-hitting, fast-running team!

It could take 3-5 years to evolve, though.

Brewers are done if they get swept IMO, and maybe Glad DS did not go after any bigger trades.

Retool in the offseason and find a Starter and Reliever

I suspect we may think back on this year and realize the only silver lining was that Turang and Grisham didn’t get dealt, and Hiura got his break.

Of course, now that I say that, Hiura boots another routine play. The horror, the horror...

Yikes man. Make a play. Glad you can hit but make a damn play.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This trade deadline was one of the worst I can remember for us in recent history IMO. I have loved Stearns' moves in the past mostly, but I think he had a terrible deadline. Normally I am anywhere between thrilled like in '16, or at least satisfied like '17 and '18.

We did not get better for this year, and we did not reload for the future. It's pretty puzzling to me.

My beef is that the guys we have traded for are not being used. I mean, what was the point?

They didn't really sell or buy. The slightly sold and slightly bought. Mostly spun the wheels.

Yikes. Hiura isn't good out there.

Moose is this team's best secondbaseman. They are going to have to live with Hiura's bad D. His bat is going to have to carry him.

The glove should improve in time, but I am not optimistic about the arm.

It was a soft sell; trading major leaguers for prospects and quality for quantity for depth. See: Your Milwaukee Brewers ‘96-2000s

That's kind of amazing. Wait, is that in order of when it happened?
