Albers would be just fine as a #5-6 guy in the pen. Asking him to be your #2-3 guy and take leverage innings every time out is asking a lot.

Yeah but what's leverage at this point. They save Hader and they save Peralta to close out wins. That leaves 6 guys who are forced in unless we are already ahead by a small margin.

 

We have a ton of guys who would be fine as the 6th pen arm.

Exactly. Hader and Peralta can be depended upon, and Houser was solid out there before shift back to the rotation. All the other guys are extremely hot and cold. They could really use at least one more solid set-up arm out there. It will be interesting to see where Lyles eventually slots in. I think his stuff plays better in the pen.

What a disappointment Cain has been this year...

 

Add him to all the others, and it is so amazing we are still in the hunt.

 

Shaw, Jesus, Cain, Arcia, Jeffress, Burnes, Chacin, the list goes on and on...

That last hit he definitely got the bat to the launch point earlier. One of my main beefs with him is his late transitioning from his samurai setup and never gets the bat settled in the proper launch point and at the proper launch angle.

 

Just way to much pre swing movement.
