I don’t understand the two strike fastball down the middle pitch to rizzo. Does chase have to give one up every game.

It seems like he is good for a 2 run dinger every time he starts. I am probably wrong on that, but it sure seems like it.

Our pitchers seem to throw an alarming amount of bad 2 strike pitches. I've wondered how much negative affect Grandal has on the pitching staff but surely he isn't calling for pitches right down main street.

Weird, a couple weeks ago no one really cared how the Cardinals were doing.

I guess that's probably because it's July, there are about 60 games to go, and each team in the division will have both cold and hot streaks between now and the end of the season.

If you would have told me when this season started this offense would be as blah as this one has been I never would have believed it. No way. This team just struggles to put more than one hit together in an inning.

It's kind of remarkable that they added Hiura to this lineup and he's been almost Yelich-like and they still can't score runs.

Moose and Grandal couldn't have started regressing at a worse time and Aguilar is faltering yet again. Maybe Shaw will be the spark they need, but last night wasn't a very good start.

I don't understand why we can never hit these Cub's starting pitchers. Lester, Hendricks, Quintana, Hamels... They all just shut the Brewers down every time.

That's always baffled me too, other teams hit them around pretty good at times, yet they all look like Cy Young winners against the crew

Anderson showing up again. Great to see.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I wouldn’t be that worried if we didn’t just crap the bed against a bu. H of bad teams for two months. We should be in a nice spot. Not hanging on by a thread

This is kind of why I really don't care how the other teams are doing. If we figure it out and start playing better ball, we'll be in the mix in the end. If not, teams are going to pull away from us, it's just a matter of who. It's all in our hands.

Given the results you could say they need to add a bat but where? There's no real room to add one unless Francisco Lindor comes to play short.
