Team wins 2-3 vs Atlanta, then 3-4 vs Arizona, right after Stearns proclaimed how big the next two weeks were...so what do they do?? Suffer a gut punch loss last night, and fall down 4-0 before they even hit, at home to a last place team. Well done crew

The reds hitting has underperformed all year, this is the real reds offense, finally coming alive.

Just like the Marlins Padres Mariners Giants...Arizona, seems a litany of teams come in to face the brewers "hitting", specifically remember Schroeder saying that about everyone of those teams, bad luck I guess to keep running into buzzsaws.....

Just when they pull me in again, they have a devastating loss yesterday and a start like this today. Proves they aren’t that good of a team.

Yeah that does kind of suck. It’s the definition of a .500 team. Win some games you shouldn’t. Lose some games you shouldn’t

But since preseason prognosticators weren’t unanimously picking the brewers to be in the playoffs this year. This is supposed to be called a successful season. So be happy

This has to be the pitching coach. These are mostly the same guys that got within a game of the World Series last year. To be so bad this season with so little personnel change (save Knebel) is so maddening.

And Chris Hooks goatee bothers me.

Be happy? This team was one game away from the WS last year. They released one of their best starters in Miley and dismantled their bullpen in an experiment to find starters. In doing so, they left themselves in a poor position to adjust if that experiment didn’t work (in which it didn’t). Add some significant injuries to their bullpen and now their best starter, and also factor in some significant regressions on the offensive side and some pitching, and this all adds up to one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history (considering the expectations for the team). I am anything but happy with this team this year.

Edit: And to add on to it, it’s obvious that this bullpens needs severe bolstering. Nothing is happening on that front and every game we blow could prove to be critical at the end of the season. A move needs to be made days ago and not a week from now. We may blow 3 more games by then with our bullpen.

Looking like another “Salvage Day” tomorrow as the Reds are on the verge of taking the lead in the season series against the Brewers.

Good thing this is just one game and doesn’t really matter.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Don't want to derail the in game thread but this just got tweeted and thought it was interesting..

Sources tell me and @juanctoribio

that the Rays have expressed interest to the Brewers in Jesus Aguilar. He’s performed better in July (1.080 OPS) than the first three months (.634 OPS), so deal would have to help Milwaukee now for Brewers to move Aguilar.

Do the have any decent pitching? Do the still have Je Man Choi (I doubt I spelled that correctly)?

Yes, they have top 3 farm.

Wow, would that be a gift trade.
