I wonder if a picture could get a win and a save in the same game? The reason I ask is Lorenzen could be in a game when his team takes the lead and then could go to the Outfield while a reliever faced a couple of hitters and then came back in the game

Mind. Blown.

Twice in one night now?

Before yesterday the odds on a win/save probably would have been better than Salad man granny’s on back to back days...

That is why you don't write a guy off after 50 PAs.

You were saying things like this last night too. No one was writing Saladino off because of 50 PAs. He has over 1,000 PAs at the MLB level.

I'm thrilled of course, about the last two nights, and it must feel awesome for him.

Pirates gave up 3 to the Cardinals in the 10fh, had a big rally going in the bottom of the 10th, and ruined it by bunting.

They gave up 4. Grand slam to Goldschmidt. But yea... awful sequence in the bottom half. Pretty sure they got an out at home with only 1 out in the inning too.

I read this really fast and at first thought it was derogatory comment about someone's grandmother.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

There were guys wanting to DFA the guy after literally 12 at bats. I'm not saying Saladino should be starting, or even necessarily that he's a good player, but man, baseball is just such a weird game.

You put out a sunday lineup one day and score 7 runs with Yelich and Grandal on the bench. Saladino comes through. Saladino was pretty decent last year. .700 OPS guy and versatile with some pop. He wasn't going to continue to be a .200 OPS guy.

Why hasn’t pitching guru Derek Johnson prevented Raisel Iglesias from being hot trash?

Nobody’s perfect?
