The panzy ass writers for this team will never ask CC any tough questions tonight. Total crap, Counsell may have just blew this entire season. I want to hear his lame ass reason for pitching ot Suarez, and i want him to be taken to task by one of the reporters.

We can get mad at CC but I’ll turn my attention to JJ and Grandal. Make your damn pitches. Grandal has to be accountable too. Both ought to know better than what just happened.

I don’t know, Jeffress wasn’t locating well. So you walk Suarez and if you miss like that to VanMeter you prolly still get away with it. If you don’t like Jeffress throwing to a lefty get Claudio. Either way better than pitching to Suarez and letting him beat you.

I’m not a fan of putting the go ahead run on first base.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

You'll be waiting awhile.

Brewers media sucks off the organization every chance it gets.

I'm wondering if the Reds would have pitched to Yelich in the same situation the Brewers did Suarez?? I'm thinking no. Craig will say go ahead run on base?? That's dumb. Not really but I bet he will use that as defense.

Oh, I’m sure Tom Haudricourt and Chuck Freimund will ask all the tough questions tonight

I’m generally not either but such a huge difference between Suarez and VanMeter that it made sense.

I don't know if the decision to IBB Suarez is as cut and dry as we all think with hindsight being 20/20 - it's rare to put on the go ahead run in the 9th when you have a lead unless you are looking at a great hitter with a platoon advantage. The book is typically to make that go ahead run hit his way on to score, which is exactly what Suarez did. Had they walked him he was going to face a lefty hitter who could still tie the game with a single, and had he gapped one Suarez probably scores from first and we're all pissed he walked him to face a lefty.

JJ just made an awful pitch, and I also question Grandal's pitch selection in that spot when he was throwing hangers all inning. However you slice it, that's a gut punch in a game that about 45 minutes ago nobody saw as being a bad loss until Saladino hit another salami. Maybe the better approach is to go after Suarez on the fringes of the zone to see if you can get him to chase in that spot to get himself out.

Batting .278 this month. Granted it's 18 ABs, but he is a backup to an ironman-type All-Star catcher.
