It seems like just yesterday that Zack Greinke was in a Brewers uniform. But, it's been seven years, now, since he left Milwaukee. Holy hell, I'm getting old. :laughing

He's in a real good position to make it into Cooperstown. The guy just wins. He needs three more victories for 200, and he's at 2,558 Ks after tonight. Dude can flat rake (for a pitcher), and he's won the last five National League pitcher Gold Gloves.

Fangraphs has his career WAR at 58.3. BBR at 69.4. That's an impressive resume, overall.

There are three things America will be known for 2000 years from now when they study this civilization: the Constitution, jazz music and baseball. They're the three most beautifully designed things this culture has ever produced. Gerald Early

Brewers pen has been lights out so far Let's keep it rollin

So many of our pitching prospects have excelled in the pen as opposed to the rotation. Started with Hader, now Peralta, Houser, even Burnes with more success in the pen. Financially would be more productive if these guys settle into the rotation at some point, but sure looks good as relievers now.

Agreed but good pen arms are expensive too. But yes, they need to figure out how to get that talent to translate to starting pitching.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Zack Greinke is a lock for the HOF. 200 wins and 3,000 Ks will surely seal the deal...both of which are very likely to be reached by him. I don’t think he even needs the 3K strikeouts, but for reference the number of 3K guys not in the HOF is zero.

That was bad pitch sequencing.

Needed to stay upstairs.

I loved his 0-2 pitch, though. Good take by Marte. Hat tip to a good hitter.

It was a good 0 and 2 pitch.

But it was not good coming back to the same location with a similar pitch on 1 and 2

When Hader is blowing guys away it’s so fun to watch. Hopefully he can get through a relatively stress free 9th inning now.

Hell let's tack on 3 or 4. Save the rest of Hader for tomorrow. But bottom lineup due, so probably not

I can’t wait for his HOF induction speech. It’s going to be must see TV.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Didn’t necessarily mean to knock him, but he is so brutally honest that you never know exactly what he’s going to say. You just know it will typically be unfiltered honesty.
