2019-07-19: Brewers (Chacín) at Diamondbacks (Clarke) 8:40 PM CDT

Eye Black
A total meltdown where he now can't even throw a strike, just like before his phantom DL stint.

Chacín’s been bad all year, teams 7 under in his starts, he needs to go away, I don’t even want him in the mop up role in the pen. Trade/DFA.

Peralta will do better.

I’ll always be grateful for Chacín’s effort in game 163 last year, but I am not sure how much longer they can keep running him out there as part of the regular rotation at this point.

I want Peralta no where near the rotation...that's not going to solve the issue...they NEED to go get a big arm. Period.

At this point with the lack of options on the trade

Market, I’m not sure there will be three quality arms that can be acquired. What an odd year

Why is there so much regression on the team this year? We are finally (hopefully) getting past the offensive regressions of Shaw and Thames/Aguilar, and Chacín continues throw batting practice out there. I think that we need to acquire one starter and two bullpen arms if we are going to make a go of it.

Does Chacín have any more options?

He already hit free agency, so almost has to be over service time. Guessing he would have to be DFA.

The good news is Taylor Clarke is still on the mound for the Diamondbacks.

It feels like one of those nights where the Brewers are going to make a comeback and ultimately lose something like 8-7 or 9-8.

2 starts before we’d get that starter at the deadline, Peralta can make those starts in place of Chacín.

The reality is we need to let Wilkerson operate as a starter. He can't be worse than what we've been given by Burnes and Chacin this year.

As for the pen. Keep giving guys shots. Jackson, Barker, Williams... we can't afford to trade out bunches for arms. We can't afford to sit on our hands.
