1. Trent Grisham - amazing development this year. Impact outfield prospect.

2. Brice Turang - he can be a leadoff hitter in the majors down the line.

3. Antoine Kelly - I couldn’t have been happier with this draft pick. Profiles much like Triston McKenzie when he was drafted. He should go immediately to our no trade list. Guys like him don’t grow on trees.

4. Mario Feliciano - all indications are he’s developing nicely as a catcher. Very good athlete which bodes well for his receiving skills. Hitting at a high level and at a young age (meaning relative to his level).

5. Ethan Small - knows how to pitch, and has good experience. Hopefully he rises quickly.

6. Aaron Ashby - he’s a good pitcher who may be in the starting rotation in the majors someday.

7. Drew Rasmussen - high hopes for this young man. He’s roared through three levels this year. He may be a year away, perhaps for bullpen duty.

8. Corey Ray - does not play well through injuries. This has dogged him his entire career and it’s particularly troubling since he’s seemingly nicked all the time. Never had the hit tool to be taken fifth overall but hopefully will rebound and get back to being an extra base machine.

9. Tristen Lutz - the organization has always challenged him. He’s got great physical makeup. His trend tends to be that he needs time to adjust to a challenging level but then he develops and improves. He shows very good signs. Could be a big league regular.

10 Max Lazar - young pitcher has been outstanding. Deserving of top ten recognition.

11. Eduardo Garcia - this is a guy with potential impact talent. He could be a big leaguer by the time he’s 20 or 21.

12. Zach Brown - his command seems to have fallen off a cliff. Drops quite a bit but body of work buoys him. But, if his nosedive continues next year, he might fall off the list. Let’s hope he can put it together.

13. Trey Supak - you can’t argue with the numbers.

14. Payton Henry - rugged, tough young man. It’s obvious the organization loves him.

15 Devin Williams - stunning resurgence now out of the pen. He might be a factor in leverage relief situations for the big club as soon as 2020.

16. Carlos Rodriguez - kid just hits all the time. Smallish but might be a good centerfielder.

17. Luis Medina - high hopes for very well pedigreed new signee.

18. Eduarqui Fernandez - difficult to project these really young guys but he seems to be one of our better young foreign acquisitions of recent vintage.

19. Justin Jarvis - very young pitcher is performing very well for his age. He could soar in the rankings if we see this again next year.

20. Micah Bello - very young player is talented and acquitting himself nicely even as he gains experience.

21. Jolon "Lun" Zhao - Listed because of his upside potential

22. David Fry - taking advantage of younger competition.

23. Noah Zavolas - older pitcher but solid production for the Harvard product.

24. Joe Gray - listed only based on athletic profile. Second year in and it hasn’t translated yet.

25. Thomas Dillard - former catcher may be useful in right field. Since catchers tend to have solid arms, and he’s switching positions, that arm might be useful in right, as long as he’s agile enough out there and not a Schwarber plodder type.

26. Dylan File - good numbers —not that they tell a complete story by any stretch of the imagination— but deserves recognition

1. SS-Brice Turang 19.7 A+

2. OF-Trent Grisham 22.8 MLB

3. LHP-Aaron Ashby 21.2 A+ 3 Pitch mix, basically 4 if you count the two breaking ball variations.

4. LHP-Ethan Small 22.5 A Those SEC #'s are insane, hope he can add a couple ticks while keeping his deception

5. C-Mario Feliciano 20.7 A+ My personal favorite prospect, I think he can stick behind the plate, wish he had better plate discipline. If he did would be battling for the top spot.

6. RHP-Max Lazar 20.2 A The most important first steps for a pitcher is fastball command and deception

7. OF-Tristen Lutz 20.9 A+

8. RHP-Trey Supak 23.2 AAA

9. OF-Corey Ray 24.9 AAA

10. SS-Eduardo Garcia 17.1 R- (DSL)

11. LHP-Antoine Kelly 19.7 R (AZL)

12. RHP-Drew Rasmussen 24.0 AA Wish they would just let him loose out of the bullpen, he is a pure two pitch pitcher. I think that is his best path to the majors.

13. C-Payton Henry 22.1 A+

14. RHP-Lun Zhao 17.9 R+ (PIO)

15. RHP-Noah Zavolas 23.2 A+

16. OF-Luis Medina 16.4 N/A

17. RHP-Devin Williams 24.9 AAA

18. RHP-Miguel Sanchez 25.6 AAA

19. OF-Micah Bello 19.0 R+ (PIO)

20. RHP-Zack Brown 24.6 AAA I will probably have him lower than others, just watching him pitch this year he really only has two pitches. I really don't think he can be a starter but I also don't think his curveball is good enough to make up for his lack of fastball velocity and command

21. 2B/3B-Jesus Parra 16.9 R- (DSL)

22. RHP-Alec Bettinger 24.1 AA

23. OF-Carlos Rodriguez 18.7 R+ (PIO)

24. 2B-Felix Valerio 18.6 R (AZL)

25. C-Andres Melendez 18.2 R (AZL)

26. OF-Eduarqui Fernandez 17.7 R- (DSL)

This became a real chore after the top 15. I don't remember having so many young guys on the list.

1. Trent Grisham: Second best hitter in the upper minors this season

2. Brice Turang: Hopefully some power develops

3. Aaron Ashby: A bit bumpy at times but has shown upside

4. Mario Feliciano: Best hitter at Carolina this year

5. Ethan Small: Hopefully will prove he was underrated pre-draft

6. Tristen Lutz: Always seems on the verge of breaking out

7. Drew Rasmussen: Talent-wise maybe 3, but can/will he be fully stretched out?

8. Corey Ray: Lost season, but the tools are still there

9. Zack Brown: What happened to that draft class with Webb, Burnes and Brown imploding?

10. Trey Supak: Might be low, but I question how long it took the Brewers to promote him

11. Antoine Kelly: The lack of walks is promising

12. Bowden Francis: Fairly high pick, quick promotion, good swinging strike rate

13. Max Lazar: Still being in A ball getting unfair

14. Eduardo Garcia: The fact he only played short before the injury might speak volumes

15. Carlos Rodriguez: There are issues, but he puts the bat on the ball

16. Pablo Abreu: Another lost season, but he led off to start the year at Wisconsin for a reason

17. Payton Henry: Needs to strike out less

18. Devin Williams: Might be underrating him here (12-18 were really close)

19. Justin Jarvis: Despite lack of K's, strong showing for his age

20. Micah Bello: Solid showing so far in Pioneer League

21. Joe Gray: See Ray, Abreu

22. Jacob Nottingham: Thought he'd show the offense that made him highly ranked to begin with. Thought wrong

23. Jesus Parra: Very young and thus far quite good.

24. Luke Barker: Older, but simply dominant this year

25. Nash Walters: Feeling optimistic

26. Reese Olson: Has struggled, but wouldn't be in A ball at his age if they weren't high on him

27. Eduarqui Fernandez: Center fielder with pop, but needs to cut K's

28. Dylan File: Surprisingly outstanding year

29. Clayton Andrews: I thought AA would tell if he was a legit prospect. So far, so good.

30. Alec Bettinger: See File, Dylan

31. David Fry: Senior signs should hit like he has in A ball if they are legit prospects. Still catching is the big news

32. Lucas Erceg: Not giving up hope but should have repeated AA

33. Troy Stokes: Unfortunately combines weaknesses of Grisham (LFO), Ray (K's)

34. Andres Melendez: Solid but not spectacular showing stateside

35. Jhonnys Cabrera: 17-year-old catcher with .800+ OPS. Anyone have a defensive scouting report?

36. Braden Webb: Hopefully next year is better

37. Felix Valerio: Solid showing for youngster

38. Korry Howell: Hopefully offense catches up to athleticism

39. Bobby Wahl: Wish he could have been a factor this year

40. Nick Kahle: Solid thus far in Colorado

41. Noah Zavalos: Leery of older pitch-to-contact guys at lower levels, but good stats

42. Thomas Dillard: Did the catcher thing die before it started or will they work in the winter?

43. Karsen Lindell: Still a bit wild, but that's a lot of strikeouts

44. Lun Zhao: Lost season, but can't forget the upside reports

45. Miguel Sanchez: Struggled in AAA, but could see him blossoming

46. Angel Perdomo: Will they keep him?

47. Max McDowell: Briefly looked like the offense was coming around

48. Je'Von Ward: Not giving up just yet

49. Victor Castaneda: Might be overrating him, but has been very good at Wisconsin

50. QTC: Hopefully returns strong from surgery

24. Eduardqui Garcia (OF) - Solid performance in the DSL, and he's only 17. If he can maintain it when he reaches Appleton or Carolina, he could skyrocket.

Do you mean Eduarqui Fernandez? I can't find any Eduardqui Garcia.

Please let me know if you see this. Thanks.

Yes! My mistake! Thanks for catching. I think I must have been looking at Eduardo Garcia too when ranking and crossed the wires.

1.) Trent Grisham > he and Hiura will give the crew 2 young superstar hitters for years to come. Hoping Stearns extends them both for 8 years.

2.) Clayton Andrews > so small, he’s gonna stupify lots of big league hitters on the mound with his unique slot. Then hit well enough to play the outfield and become a real weapon late in games.

3.) Drew Rasmussen > I’d like to see him start next year to see if we have another Woodruff, but 100 mph heat with a plus slider late in games would work too.

4.) Ethan Small > love his pitchability, and if he regains the velocity he had prior to TJ, look out.

5.) Antoine Kelly > not sure how he fell to the brewers but don’t care, imo, this guy could be one of the steals of the draft.

6.) Aaron Ashby > bloodline matters, plus lefty deception should keep him at least a mid-rotation arm or better.

7.) Trey Supak > might be underrating him here, but another 4 pitch good command pitchability pitcher that has a probable chip on his shoulder.

8.) Brice Turang > bloodlines, speed, hand eye, seems to be elite, hoping the power comes just a little bit as he gets older, but, a speedy leadoff hitter’s ok too.

9.) Devin Williams > another potential elite late inning pen arm.

10.) Bobby Wahl > another potential elite late inning pen arm.

11.) Angel Perdomo > another potential elite late inning pen arm.
