Can Hiura win ROY in half a season? Sort of kidding.
"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Nice hustle from old man Braun to get to 3rd with 1 out.

Gamel to LF. Braun to O2 tank.

I would be 100% on board with Braun for Gamel at this point. Get Braun off his feet, Gamel is a slightly better defender in my opinion. Plus, likely to see a RH reliever his next time up anyway.

Great photo of a bright spot!!

I love that we were all proven wrong by the Pineapple.

Not all of us.

Pineapple's OPS up to .681

That actually seems pretty acceptable for a backup catcher. More so given the erratic playing time.

Glad we didn’t sign this bum.

That's kinda the cherry on top of this game so far ;)

Kinda hoping we don't even see Kimbrel next week, though.

Yeah, I see he has his ERA below double digits now. Hope we smack him around too.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

All the balls hit this inning have been hit hard. Keuchel not fooling anyone. Counsel would have pulled him after the yelich home run

That 3rd time through thing playing out right in front of our eyes. Ours pulled at trouble, their's left in

Amazing the power he gets with his body type/frame.

Actually his frame is perfect for generating crazy power with the leverage he can get.

I don’t disagree with the leverage part but you can’t say that the majority of sluggers throughout the history of any level of baseball are built like him.

I'm sorta hoping he doesn't have a reason to get up off the bullpen bench all series. ;)

True, but I'm pretty sure his hard hit rate is pretty high, so most likely a little bad luck to go with it.

Several of the top all-time HR hitters were built like Yelich. Ted Williams. Eddie Mathews. Griffey. Frank Robinson. Killebrew. All long guys with quick hands who managed to generate tremendous bat speed.
