Grisham and Shaw both pulled after just 1 AB. Shaw pinch run for.

Possible one or both get brought up while someone goes on the 10 day? Grisham would seem more likely, but could be both. Shaw certainly hasn't "earned" his way back, good to see him finally have a nice line yesterday though and Aggie one today.

Brice Turang should not have difficulty squeezing into this middle infield. Hoping Devin Hairston and Julio Garcia develop, but Garcia in particular has been overmatched at this level.

Box: Ogden 19, Rocky Mountain 8

Alternative box includes inning-by-inning linescore

It was 16-0 after three innings. Sub-optimal.

Fireballing 2017 20th round (University of Arizona) RHP Austin Rubick walked six of the seven men he faced. He's walked 18 and plunked four in 5.2 frames this year. I won't comment on the mustache you'll see at the link.

Better mound news?

Final: AZL Brewers Blue 6, AZL Giants Black 2

AZL Brewers Blue Box Score

Jackie Urbaez was on base four times, Luis Silva had two more hits, and Danny Casals doubled in his pro debut to lead the Blues to victory. Starter Alexis Ramirez allowed one earned run in four innings; Pablo Garabitos and Harold Chirino held the Giants at bay over the final five.

Final: AZL D-backs 7, AZL Brewers Gold 6

AZL Brewers Gold Box Score

A first-inning grand slam from Jesus Chirinos and a rally to tie the game at 6 in the 5th inning were not enough as the Golds lose on a walk-off throwing error by catcher Roberto Molina. The game saw the return of Larry Ernesto, who was injured in the first inning of the AZL season. Chirinos, Felix Valerio, and Ashton McGee had multi-hit games.

Damn. Didn't really think that Shaw or Grisham would be taken out of the game to get called up prior to the ASB, but I also didn't think both would be out of the game after just 1 AB due to injury. Pretty solid collision there.

Still, really nice news on Turang. He's easily my favorite farm hand now with Keston up(I hardly think I'm alone here as he's the only one ranked in the top 100).

But it's just so nice to see a 1st round prep pick start out and really perform well the entire time.
