2019-07-01: Brewers (Houser) at Reds (Mahle) [Brewers win, 8-6 -- After just one hit through 6 innings the Brewers bat around in a 5-run 7th inning]

Eye Black
Hader for two more innings? Albers and Jeffress unavailable? Man Hader is that dude but won't be for long at this rate. Gots to find two more trusted arms or he's toast.

Houser and Peralta if we don't start them.

I mean if you consider the ballpark they play in, it makes the Reds' pitching all the more impressive this year. To lead the NL in fewest runs allowed.

You just had to... :laughing

Went to change my daughter and missed it. Barely cleared the fence? Shoulda been a can of corn? This park does suck.

It was basically a popup to left field. Dropped in the first row.

I thought the Reds ballpark played similarly to Wrigley where it is near impossible to hit HR's early in the year. I might be remembering incorrectly.

I'm not crediting anyone specifically here, just in general their pitching, to be that good in this ballpark, how? It seems like Coors Field.

Facts. It's unbelievable really.

And their home/road splits are eerily similar. Like...almost identical.

Cubs down 18-5. [sarcasm]What's that going to do to their Pythagorean W/L?[/sarcasm]

Being sarcastic there, as when teams are up/down big early they take their best players out, have position players pitch, etc., and the subsequent outcomes are not based on best players versus best players.

I think you have to give credit. I mean he did it a year ago and is doing it in a brand new place. I’m not all up right on him leaving as it seemed to be what he wanted.

I like that they played matchups here late and didn't just pigeonhole Hader into the 9th.

The part of it that could backfire though, you get in trouble, you don't have Hader in your back pocket to help get you out of it.

Kind of surprised this isn’t Albers. He’s pitched so well lately.
