Grandal walked on five balls.

It’s really too bad they’re going to jack around Houser. Should be in the pen. Could be a nice piece there. Unfortunately between injuries and underperforming arms, they go this route. Stearns and co are losing a bit of luster for me this year with the decision making going on.

Just curious. Burnes isn't ready. Peralta is a pen guy. If Houser too is a pen guy. Who starts?

Davies, Woodruff, Anderson?

Chacin fell apart, Gio is injured, Jimmy is injured, Wilkerson hasn't been given the shot.

They started with 10 options. Going 2 for 9 is hard to do. Some may even call it highly unlikely.

Chacin isn’t going anywhere. And he looked much better his last start. He’s got a track record of being a guy that can turn it around. I would’ve went back to Peralta in the rotation before Houser. At no point in his minor league career was Houser ever a good starter. It felt like they finally found his niche for us.

Woody, Davies, Chacin, Anderson, Peralta would be it for me right now. Heck, I would’ve thrown Burnes back in there before Houser.

I know Chacin isn't going anywhere but if he was 2018 Chacin the staff would look a lot better.

I don't disagree that Houser shouldn't be starting. But I say Peralta shouldn't be starting for the same reason.

If we hold Houser out of the rotation because he hasn't succeeded as a starter why haven't we gone to Wilkerson yet?

Derek Johnson hasn't coached very well this inning......

Are we going to do this every single time the Reds have a bad inning for the entire season?

I mean I know it's tongue in cheek....but the Reds have allowed the least runs of any team in the league. And they play in a bandbox. Obviously no one thinks they are never going to have a bad pitching game just because they have DJ.

Peralta is young, has a track record of success as a starter going through the minors and has swing and miss stuff. For me, he has big upside still. Houser is who he is. That doesn’t mean he is terrible but he’s not good. He could be a decent BP arm.

Wilkerson is another guy that is just an arm. Sometimes I wonder why he’s a 40-man guy. He really isn’t any good.

His usage isn't really all that different this year than Woodruff's from last year.

Start season in AAA rotation. Come up to MLB & bounce between pen & rotation.

It all worked out okay for Brandon so far, hopefully Adrian follows a similar path, even if it is a little non-linear.

Houser painting the corners with 2 seam and 4 seam curves and sliders, tires in the 6th because he’s not stretched YET, and you are calling him a failed starter?

He’s 2+ years past TJ, the crew protected him by bullpenning him and limiting his innings. Hes not a failed starter.

Thank God the brewers know where to put him > Rotation

The difference for me is that I always saw Woody as a starter and he was really good going through. Houser, not so much. Just thought they found a somewhat reliable long-man that was getting comfortable in his role.

Let me guess. Houser is the 7th Ace?

Wish the Brewers had the guts to put Burnes back in the rotation. I think it’s pay off.
