Can we please stop the silliness of batting the pitcher 8th

There's nothing wrong with batting the pitcher 8th. Statistically over time it has shown to be a very slight advantage over batting the pitcher 9th.

It's not the reason we're struggling offensively.

The Windmill gets bailed out again.

You gotta make that send with 2 outs. I am as critical of Sedar as anyone but that's the right call no matter what happens. Nobody out, different story.

Cain is really tough to watch right now. I hope this is just an extended bad stretch and not the new normal or these last 3 years of his contract are going to look pretty bad.

Hopefully the break gets him healthy and a reset of sorts.

Hand injury might have affected him, then becomes a confidence/mental thing and just snowballs. I don’t know if that’s a long enough break to heal the hand, but may be just what he needs.

.217 over his last 30 games.

I like Cain and am glad we signed him, but giving a five year $80 million contract to a 30 year old was risky. This may be a mini Braun contract that handcuffs the team.

Still plays good D and I think the injury had a lot to do with it.

Early in the year, Brewers probably should have shut down Cain and Shaw when the injuries popped up. No reason to let them drag on into prolonged slumps.
