Going back to the more conventional lineup except Arcia batting 9th.

Wonder how this will go?

I'm sure it's because Grandal is out of the lineup. I dont expect it to go well because Cain has been awful this year. Pretty sure I saw Yelich has like...20 solo homeruns. Although, I read it on Twitter, so who knows if its true or not.

Before the season started I didn’t think I’d be looking at a Brewers lineup and wondering how they were going to score. Grandal is overdue for a day off, but that takes one bat out of the lineup. Cain has obviously been awful, and now Yelich (after almost a full year of superhuman production) has, to use his words, “been hitting like a pitcher” for the last two weeks. Facing a lefty won’t help him or Moustakas. Then the righty brigade of Braun, Hiura, Aguilar, and Pina (one rookie and three underachievers, including 2 near automatic outs), followed by the pitcher and Arcia.

Maybe the Brewers learned something about Brault when he tied them up in knots when he faced the Brewers earlier this month. But, with Davies recent struggles and this lineup, it could be a very dreary loss of the 6-1 variety.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

If Aguilar doesn’t go 5-5 today with three homers today then I’m done with him

Pina too

All kidding aside I have a feeling we are going to need to score big today

I could see Davies giving up about 6 today. He’s about to regress to the 4.00 era pitcher he is

Certainly doesn’t look good on paper. But ya never know, cause it’s baseball.

I certainly would like our chances even if only slightly better, if Pina was switched out for Freitas. But patience of Job Stearns knows best.

6 in a 4 inning start sounds about right

Why aren’t we in London. Some of our limp bats could have used the average 15 runs a game

That probably has more to do with the Yankees and Red Sox than London.

Check that. Our pitching staff might give up 35 in one game out there

Davies looking very hittable so far on anything near the zone. Missed his spot on that pitch to Melky Cabrera. This is stating the obvious, but the Brewers need to avoid extremely short starts between now and the All-Star Break.

Edit: Nice play by Cain to limit the damage!

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Moose had a nice 9 pitch at bat earlier, but boy did he just miss on that center cut 93-mph fastball on the final pitch. Wish he could have found his way on with Hiura on deck.

For as much as Eric Karros went on and on about the blown ball four call last night (which was huge blown call in the Brewers favor) that blown ball four call to Piña is likely to prove equally costly.
