2019-06-26: Mariners (Carasiti) at Brewers (Houser) [Brewers lose, 4-2]

Eye Black
I wonder what Kato Kaelin thinks of the Brewers right now, and if he's now following O.J. on Twitter.

My guess is he’s told everyone this is a blip, you don’t know how to watch a baseball season and there are 82 games left. Or something to that effect

I don’t think you are initially eligible for twitter unless you’ve called someone a racist, sexist, homophobe or you don’t understand a Major League Baseball season. Not in any particular order

Your post intrigued me to check his twitter. As you can most certainly imagine, Kato is not enjoying tonight's game.

I checked too. He's having a full on meltdown. :laughing

At least he still has passion. This team's performance has sucked the life out of me.

And yet Stearns comes out and says "the pitching improvements are going to have to come from inside the club". Okay DS, except, this is as good as it gets. Keep sitting around hoping and waiting for that improvement to happen instead of pulling off a deal now. He didn't really believe that statement he made, did he?? if he did, he's not nearly as smart as everyone makes him out to be.

How many arms do you want to trade for?

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

What he meant was I can't trade for 4 starters........

As many as possible. But really, all it takes sometimes is 1..but it better be a stud. That can sometimes shake an entire team out of a funk. We've seen it before.

If that's what he meant, then okay, I understand that, but he also said "you can supplement". So do it! How much longer are you going to wait?? What more do you need to see, to know they need help NOW.

Which stud are you targeting and what are you giving up to get him? If it's a true stud, Turang + Lutz + Ray ain't getting it done.

The Brewers pitching staff’s hasn’t had a three up, three down inning since the 7th inning of Sunday’s game. I wonder what the major league record is for consecutive innings allowing a base runner? The Brewers are now at 15 consecutive innings allowing a walk or hit (or both).
Not just “at Night” anymore.

When?

I mean look what CC and Greinke did for the Crew...Their rotations were nothing special, but all of a sudden those two come in, and it boosts the whole club in each of those years.

They did their jobs. The other four guys in those two rotations you speak of did theirs. Why isn’t SF rotation mowing people down since they have MadBum? Your logic just doesn’t add up. Our rotation is a dumpster fire and grabbing one pitcher won’t cut it. Until the guys from within stabilize (if they ever do) the smart play is to sit out on the trading for players. Heck, my thread about selling players is looking a lot more likely each game we see this rotation take the mound.

The year they brought in Greinke they had Marcum, who was pretty darn good up until September, Gallardo who won 17 games, Wolf, who was 13-10 with a 3.69 ERA, and Narveson who was probably the "worst" starter, who started 28 games and went 11-8 with an 89 ERA+

That was a really good rotation.
