Bending but not breaking. Not really getting Nebraska's play calling on that last series. But hey.... got the stop and a good time consuming drive here with even a field goal could put this away.

What a pitiful effort by the defense. Great job by the offense and special teams, but this defense seems like a shell of what it was just a few weeks ago. The back eight definitely is not nearly as fast as I thought they were, and Jim Leonhard may come up with some elaborate blitz schemes but he has been totally over-matched when the QB provides a legit running threat.

 

This team is not nearly as good as I thought they could be. Schedule-maker ended up doing the Badgers a pretty big favor by stacking all those home games early in the schedule.

Eh. Nebraska got a lot of yards but Badgers D stopped their drives. Nebraska was 0-3 on 4th downs. I know people don't like the "bend but don't break" terminology, but you don't get points for yards. Badgers got momentum with the long touchdown and takeaway, and Nebraska never got it back. They had one score after that. They had some long drives but the Badgers kept getting pressure and forcing stops. Sucks giving up tons of yards but if you're getting stops, I'll take it. I'll take a 16 point win on the road where they were never REALLY threatened after that interception in the 2nd quarter.

 

Also, Iowa has a 2 TD lead on Minnesota at halftime.

Yeah they got a break that the refs called it after the play was over, the WR really sold it though.
