I will say that other than that one long run the UW defense has been great.

I understand playing field position when your defense is playing this well, but what are the odds that that punt is actually going to get downed inside the 20? Silly decision, especially out of a coach that went for it on 4th inside his own territory last week.

Also, Jack Dunn is really, really bad at returning punts. Seems like he makes the wrong choice on catch/let it bounce every other time he's back there.

Yah why punt from their 36 when our punter isn’t that great. Almost asking for some short punt after a touchback.

Even with Ray Guy you shouldn't do it.

To be fair Northwestern is playing real good defense.

Alot of that is predictable offensive...there you go d, score yourself!

Partially. I think some of it is the fact the have total confidence Coan can’t beat them. Consistently just rush 3 on anything more than a few yards.

Coan is playing the opposite of his first three weeks at this point... poor decision making, inaccurate throws, not doing anything with his legs. He's basically Hornibrook 2.0 out there today.

Hasn’t been hit a ton, but looks like he’s got happy feet. Never looks comfortable in the pocket, even when there isn’t pressure. Not saying it needs to be a permanent change, but we have to be getting close to the point of seeing if Mertz can be a spark.

On the other side, this D is playing lights out. That front 7 has some swagger to it.

Surprised they didnt review that fumble. Looked close on the replays. And what's up with that one replay camera from the top of the stadium. Is it from the same era these unis are from?

Man this defense could be something special! If the offense plays as well as they did the first 3 weeks of the season, I could definitely see them in the playoffs at the end of the season. Hopefully this game is just a hiccup for the offense. Teams just aren’t going to score much on this defense.
