Not that he couldn’t of been on a plane late last night or early today but Hiura did play last night in Omaha.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

It looks like apart from Perez and Arcia, everyone's batting >= .500 against this guy. Small sample sizes except for Moose, whose .625, with 8 at bats.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.

Can we reverse the Gamel trade for Santana tonight?

Why would they want to? So we can watch Santana butcher playing LF?

You must have missed his bump of the trade thread where he is convinced we got fleeced on the trade...

Interesting to have Gamel in over Cain against a LHP.

Granted the samples are limited, but Gamel is hitting for a .781 OPS versus LHP this year (compared to .709 OPS vs. RHP). Cain has a .744 OPS against southpaws. I doubt that is the reason they would swap them, but found it at least interesting. More likely they are looking to give Cain some more time to heal up from the nagging things that seem to be ailing him. I am not sure what all of those things are and I know it’s incredibly difficult to decipher with Lorenzo, but he hasn’t seemed “right” for awhile now.

Back to Gamel, it would be great to see him be a big contributor this week against his old squad.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Predict the date when the brewers find their way back to ten over .500

13 games before the break. I'll say they go 8-5, but are 8-4 on July 6th, putting them at 50-40 for the season and 10 games over .500. They'll go 10-8 in the remaining 18 games in July putting them at 60-49 entering August.

If Domingo makes a diving catch it will be because he hesitated when the ball was hit, took two steps back then frantically rushes in.....no, he still wouldn't dive. Despite him playing deeep in RF the wall is too far back there to rob a HR too. He'll just turn around and try to play it off the wall.

The bashing of Domingo Santana and relative love for Ben Gamel is rather ridiculous in this forum!

:laughing

Domingo has 13 more homeruns, a 28-point higher batting average, 42 more RBI's, and 4 more stolen bases!

For those who haven’t clicked on the link of these Adam McCalvy tweets...

Tweet #1: Lorenzo Cain was in Los Angeles this morning to undergo the same cryotherapy procedure that has helped Ryan Braun in recent years. The pain in Cain’s right thumb had become too much to bear and was affecting his play, Craig Counsell said.

Tweet #2: Cain is on his way back from L.A. now. He will not be available tonight and may also have to miss Wednesday’s game.

Not just “at Night” anymore.
