Never would have imagined when we acquired Yelich that he'd be a 50 HR guy. Not that it's a foregone conclusion but at this point it's hard to imagine him not hitting 23 more.

Yelich has 50 HR and 30 SB in play for this year...which has never been done. That would certainly be fun.

Even with doing that he may not even win the NL MVP if Bellinger continues on his pace. Which would be crazy.

MVP is for sure a 2 horse race in the NL. Nobody else is really that close to those 2 guys right now.

On this date last year Yelich was still at a single digit home run total. He didn’t hit his 10th home run of the season until June 24th last year. Pretty incredible that he has kept up his second half surge and is now at 27 at the same point this year.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Those are the types of at bats that sometimes get you going.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Arcia throwing down his helmet after every at bat is starting to take on the same look as when I used throw my golf clubs. You have to maintain a certain baseline of success before you can get that upset over a likely outcome.

I still remember about 10 years ago there was a so called "Black Wednesday" type day for the Brewers where they DFAed Bill Hall, sent down Hardy, and made some other moves.

I could see a day like that happening this year where Shaw and Arcia go down and Aguilar gets DFAed.
