Just found out that Shaw colluded with the Russians to be elected Mayor of Ding Dong City

Report will be given to Stearns and Counsell today. Impeachment is not out of question here Im told.

Shaw will have to prove he deserves it

Impeachment is necessary!

Since I’ll actually get to watch this, it’s a lefty, and he’s making his debut; I’m gonna be shocked if this west coast slide doesn’t continue. Please beat a team you’re supposed to

FanGraphs article on the Padres starter tonight, Logan Allen and His Inner Bulldog are Poised for a Padres Debut

From that article: Hitters stepping into the box against Allen are going to see a low-90s four-seam fastball, a plus curveball, a slider he began throwing in 2017, and a Vulcan changeup...

Not just “at Night” anymore.

2 for 2 with the double plays.

Wonder if there has ever been 9 in a 9 inning game by one team?

on edit. 7 is the record in a 9 inning game but there is an interesting caveat.

San Francisco Giants vs Houston Astros

May 4, 1969

Houston had 7 DPs in 8 innings and won the game.

Strop entered in the top of the 9th and immediately gave up a single and a 2-run bomb to Jimenez. Cubs have one run on six hits through eight.

Cubs aren't immune to looking like garbage.

Edit: Cubs just yanked Strop instead of facing the imposing threat of... Ryan Cordell. Yes, that Ryan Cordell.

Stearns is watching San Antonio.......https://twitter.com/briggsmissions/status/1141171276968615936?s=21

He picked the right game... 17-1 in the 5th.

Saladino, Spangenberg, and Nottingham must have been aware that he was there.

well, two straight blacked out. Have both of these games really been on national tv? If so, why? I'm finally breaking free from mlb.tv. Is there an alternative yet?

It was a broken bat home run. A giant chunk of the bat shattered right off the barrel and he still hit it out with room to spare. It was sort of incredible.

MLB.TV will do national games. In this case, San Diego is considered your "local" market. Much like DC/Baltimore for me, despite being a good five hour drive away from DC. If you have the Opera browser (easiest) or another VPN method it'll show a different location to let you view.

Wow!

That homerun was the difference, too, as the Cubs went scoreless in the bottom of the 9th.

The Brewers are up 1 game in the NLC for the next couple hours now.

Thank you for that explanation. How some one would consider Tucson in the San Diego market is so far beyond reason... glad I cancelled it. I'll have to do radio until the stretch run.

We may just be a team of Yelich, Woodruff, Hader and everyone else-but man it feels good to know there's a plus starter taking the mound every five days.
