The next 23 games before the all star break are against teams that are a combined 41 games below .500.

Goal should be somewhere around a 16-7 result which would be 1 loss per series. Could do better but of course they could do worse.

Nice opportunity to put a few games cushion between the Brewers and the Cubs in the standings. Cubs have a few more games against tougher competition, namely the Dodgers and Braves, but otherwise their schedule isn't real scary either.

He has the splits you'd expect. RHB are almost 1000 OPS on the season, LHB a paltry 766.

Cain

Yelich

Braun

Moose

Perez

Grandal

Aguilar

Arcia

P

I'm starting to get on board the Perez against lefties train. He's generally looking a lot better this year than last year, especially lately. I also view Grandal as a LHB despite being switch...wanted to split up him and Moose. Later in the game, can PH Shaw for Perez if facing a RHP.

On paper, we should dominate this game, but because baseball is baseball, we could easily get our tails beat.

I would not be surprised if the Brewers get swept. This is the type of series we as fans go into expecting to take at least 2 of 3 but the Brewers crap the bed and get swept. Like against the Angels earlier this year.

Based on that logic, no one should ever be surprised at an outcome of any series. Sweep, get swept, split, take 2 of 3, drop 2 of 3. It's baseball.

Sounds about right.

Got to take BP at Miller Park today and I feel like I could run through a brick wall. Brewers by 100 tonight!

I always am a little anxious when the Brewers play in a park or environment that isn’t conducive to home runs. Like when they play in Wrigley Field when it’s 35 degrees and the wind blowing in.

Playing in SF they’ll have to find another way to score runs. Maybe Yelich can pick up a few triples.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Really dislike these west coast staring times.

:(

During the school year I do as well, but in the summer I love it. We have young kids and with a 9 PM start I can sit down and watch the game in peace and quiet. Tonight will be relaxing bliss!

Hit any out?

Unfortunately, no. I did swing the Braun bat a few times and it’s no wonder he’s late on inside pitches. Thing is a log. Had some good contact though. Gap to gap!

It would be nice if Cain went on a hot streak and get us going at the top of the order

Yes, I'm almost shocked he's still hitting so poorly. Imagine this lineup if Shaw, Jesus and Cain were hitting like last year.

Shaw’s replacement is waiting in triple aaa. Thames is doing well taking Aguilar at bats so far. Cain just needs to start hitting.

But Shaw's hacks are gritty. How are they not beneficial?

Not even close at 1B. Easterbrook (spelling) seems to have it in for the Brewers, what a douche.

Moose is safe! Horrible call, no excuse for that at the major league level.

What a great night to sit in my Arizona backyard and watch the game while sitting around the fire pit!
