2019-06-12: Brewers (Woodruff) at Astros (Verlander) [Brewers win, 6-3 in 14 innings -- Brewers overcome 24 Ks with four long balls; Thames HR ties it in 7th & Moustakas HR proves the difference in extras]

Eye Black
I was disappointed that they never showed (on Fswi) the throw from Thames. As in, why was it so bad that Arcia had such a difficult time with the throw.

17 pitches for Hader and he's out with an off day tomorrow? Esp. with 2 lefties coming up? At least give him Reddick...although it's too late for that. Seems odd.

Especially odd they felt the need to use him and not have him go two innings. Then again that was an absolutely horrendous inning for Hader. Zero K’s and two walks in an inning. He was thankful to get a pick off and a ground ball (rare for him) to avoid a loss.

The nice thing about having the DH is that we can preserve the bench much better in games like this. Play the matchups.

That’s a good point, managing extras with the luxury of the DH is a completely different animal.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

He looked awful. He thew a few strikes, but was in trouble to every batter. just not his night.

In what has been a completely feast or famine offensive night for the Brewers I would happily take the lead on a manufactured run from walks and sacrifices.

A 2 run homer here would be fine by me.

Remember what Yoda said:

Projecting this team to the playoffs and hitting quality pitching? I'm thinking it's gonna be a rough go.

It seems like they have actually hit top end of the rotation (#1/#2) type starting pitchers fairly well on the whole this year.

Stearns has his work cut out this trade deadline.

Tigers are open for business...I go get Miggy. Solves the 1B issue

It's hard to think this team needs more offense to get where they want to go but if Cain is this version the rest of the year that off sets what Grandal has added.
