2019-06-11: Brewers (Peralta) at Astros (Peacock) [Brewers lose, 10-8 -- Rough outing for Peralta; Astros hit four 2-run HRs; Crew’s rally falls short]

Eye Black

BRef does not list Craig ever appearing as a DH.

I’m almost positive counsell DH’d one time and I thought it was during his horrendous streak but maybe that was a baseball nightmare I had growing up. Had to sleep with the lights on for a month

You see two games at Houston on the schedule and you hope to get with one win. They you see Verlander is pitching one and figure getting even one is going to be tough.

This looks like a throwaway of two games like when the Brewers went to Cleveland last year and lost to Kleber and Carrasco.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I honestly don’t see how this staff improves . There are no good trade options and no one really to promote. I don’t understand how everyone brought up or carried over sucks together. We keep trotting our the 6+ era guys everyday and can’t keep games close. How is our record so good?

Our record is so good because two dozen teams are even worse than us.

Our record is as good as it is because a lot of what you're saying here is overstated. I mean, i get it. When this team plays bad, they look really bad. For the most part the starting staff and the pen have been solid. It's just when there are blow-ups, they are bad, and it leaves an ugly picture in everyone's mind.

I think this year the eventual World Series champion should just be referred to as “the least bad of the bunch.”

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Well at least the Cubs are taking one on the chin too.

There also might be a correction coming up. Our run differential is not that great. Now the next two months they are playing a softer schedule so maybe they can get things right during that time. You might not really know what this team really is until dog days of August

Would anyone be surprised if they go on a bad streak sometime soon too?

I really don’t know what to think of this team

That AB should be the nail in the coffin for Jesus. Can't be 1st pitch hacking after a walk to load the bases when you're down 6, especially with as godawful as he's been this year.

I'm starting to get the feeling that the only reason Jesus is still getting playing time is that he bats right handed. Thames needs a platoon mate. Having Hiura around made this lineup much more balanced.

Terrible ab by Arcia. The guy must just be un coachable. Only explanation is he just doesn't understand baseball. Oh well.

Ryan Pressly has been thee best reliever in baseball since Houston acquired him. Five (5!) earned runs in 53.2 IP.

He makes a lot of guys look like that.

This is exactly right. I am quick to get on Arcia’s case for terrible at bats, but Ryan Pressly has a way of making a lot of good hitters look very silly.
