Innings with runs scored?

I was looking over some of the Brewers stats and noticed the curiously small number of innings that the opposition has scored in over the past few games.

I was wondering if there is any research dedicated to this subject and what it might mean if anything

# Innings in which Brewers allowed a run:

Games in may (7) = 6 of 63 inings 13 runs total

Last 9 games = 8 in 81 innings 15 runs total

Last 10 games = 10 in 89 innings or 25 runs total

Is this indicitive of consistent pitching and iconsitent offenses? Does it show that the Brewers are facing teams with solid 3-4-5 guys and little else? What is the normal number of innings a team scores in per game?

Please note I am aware of the small sample size and am more interested in what # of innings in which a run was allowed can tell us about baseball in general, then what it can tell us about the Brewers. I have also never broken down this stat, so the Brewers last few games may fall well within the normal number of innings in which a team allows a run.

It must be kind of unusual. They mentioned it on FSN the other night. It might be an anomaly. I'd love to get to the bottom of it. Unfortunately I'm no Stathead. I really admire those guys; all these equations make my noggin fairly spin off its neck.
