Box: DSL Pirates #1 Squad 8, DSL Brewers/Indians 4

Immediately upon clicking you notice seven runs allowed over the first two innings, also four errors committed.

Good news, an Indians farmhand gave up those seven runs (four earned).

Bad news, Brewer errors all -- E: Gonzalez, El 2 (2, fielding, pickoff); Nino 2 (2, throw, fielding).

Oh, we have a position player converting to the mound:

18-year-old Dominican RHP Francis Casado, who was only 4-for-36 as an OF/DH in 2018, looks to be a RHP now.

Scoreless debut --

DSL Pirates1 Top of the 9th

Pitching Change: Francis Casado replaces Jose Ruviera.

Jhan Polanco flies out to left fielder Bryan Nino.

Franrielis Bastardo hit by pitch.

Franrielis Bastardo caught stealing 2nd base, catcher Eduin Lugo to second baseman Carlos Roa.

Rafael Escalante lines out to left fielder Bryan Nino.

The Brewer-heavy lineup had eight of the 11 team hits, including a 3-for-4 day (one double) by second baseman Carlos Roa in just his 4th pro game (17, Venezuela, $385,000). He's now 7-for-15 with two doubles (one walk, one K).

Box: DSL Tigers #1 Squad 9, DSL Brewers 3

Both teams now 1-4, so the Tigers team gets its first win at the Brewers' expense.

Five days ago, 20-year-old Dominican RHP Junior Montero had a successful scoreless two-inning (no walks) pro debut.

Today, not so much:

DSL Tigers1 Bottom of the 5th

Pitching Change: Junior Montero replaces Wellington Nunez.

Enrique Batista walks.

Passed ball by catcher Jhonnys Cabrera. Enrique Batista to 2nd.

Jose Reina walks.

Carlos Mendoza walks. Enrique Batista to 3rd. Jose Reina to 2nd.

Adinso Reyes walks. Enrique Batista scores. Jose Reina to 3rd. Carlos Mendoza to 2nd.

Pedro Garcia walks. Jose Reina scores. Carlos Mendoza to 3rd. Adinso Reyes to 2nd.

Yeah, 5-for-5.

That's six passed balls for very young (even younger than most) Jhonnys Cabrera. They don't pay the official scorers enough on the island, they are busy.

The best mound effort was by 18-year-old Panamanian RHP Ariel Vega, who debuted late in 2018 with two scoreless relief stints. Here, he stranded three inherited runners and allowed only an unearned run in two additional innings.

Three players had two-hit games, including the first professional home run for LF and leadoff man Reidy Mercado, an 18-year-old 2nd-year-pro from the Domincan Republic. The switch-hitter only managed a .515 OPS in 216 AB's last year. (I double-checked, it was not of the inside-the-park variety).

Box: Wisconsin 5, Kane County 4, twelve innings

Impossible to overstate how big RH reliever Chad Whitmer's three-inning contribution was considering the new minor league extra-inning opening-baserunner-on-second rule.

Rattler pitchers fanned 17 while walking only two.
