Height: 5'10

Weight: 190

B/T: R/R

School: TCU

Year: Junior

DOB: 10/9/97

SCOUTING REPORT:

Prep Baseball Report:

Humphreys has a stocky, physical, muscular frame at 5-foot-10, 190-pounds. The right-handed hitter has quick hands through the zone and squared up three singles in three at-bats. The first he drove through the ride side for an RBI. He singled up the middle, and then laced a ball through the six-hole in his third at-bat. Solid arm strength and athleticism behind the dish with carry to second base.

ROUND 28 (853rd overall): Andre Nnebe, CF

Height: 6'6

Weight: 230

B/T: R/R

School: Santa Clara University

Year: Sophomore

DOB: 11/14/97

SCOUTING REPORT:

Baseball America (From 2017):

Nnebe’s raw tools are off-the-charts and immediately apparent at one glance at his 6-foot-6, 230-pound frame. Coming out of high school, scouts compared the northern California native to Aaron Judge for his power antics, and coaches now note he might be even taller than his listed height. Despite his giant levers, Nnebe had a very successful freshman season at Santa Clara, batting .293 as their everyday center fielder. And while his plate discipline and swing mechanics have a ways to go—understandably given his body—his raw power is unrivaled in the league. To boot, he’s been clocked at as low as 6.5 seconds in a 60-yard dash. That speed plays well in the outfield, giving Nnebe a chance to stick in centerfield for now then slide over to left field as he adds mass and slows down. No matter where he plays, the tools are all there for Nnebe to become a first-round talent down the road.

ROUND 29 (883rd overall): Jackie Urbaez, 2B

Height: 5'8

Weight: 185

B/T: S/R

School: St. Thomas University (FL)

Year: Senior

DOB: 8/29/97

SCOUTING REPORT:

Through the Fence Baseball:

Urbaez numbers are down this year compared to some monster stats he threw up last season. I don’t think that stops him from getting his name called next week! Urbaez is an all-around talented player. He can hit to all fields and is great defensively with a plus arm from second base. He’s a .339 career hitter at the NAIA level, with over 100 RBI and 17 HR in his two-year run at STU. He does the little things right, I believe his overall performance gets him picked up.

ROUND 31 (943rd overall): Jonathan Jones, RHP

Height: 6'1

Weight: 195

B/T: R/R

School: San Jacinto College North (TX)

Year: Freshman

DOB: 3/2/00

SCOUTING REPORT:

Prep Baseball Report:

With an athletic delivery, Jones attacked Texas with a lively fastball up to 93 MPH, and generated some very uncomfortable swings with two different breaking balls – a slider with late, sweeping break around 84 MPH and a deceptive curveball that sat between 76-80 MPH. At times, the breaking balls blended together, but the result was often the same – an uncomfortable take or hack in the batter’s box. Jones’s arm action might cause some scouts to pause, but the arm worked quickly and well out in front. Combine that with the athleticism to repeat, and Jones will be one to watch.

ROUND 32 (973rd overall): Jeff Figueroa, RHP

(Photo: )

Height: 6'0

Weight: 180

B/T: R/R

School: Florida Virtual School

Year: Senior

DOB: 8/22/00

SCOUTING REPORT:

Perfect Game (7/1/18 Game Report):

Jeff Figueroa (2019, Odessa, Fla.) was possibly the surprise of the morning. A strong two-way player, Figeuroa showed a quick, short and direct path to the ball and he had no problem hitting a double off the wall on a 90 mph fastball. In his next at-bat he kept his hands back on a good off-speed pitch and went the other way for a line drive single over the second baseman’s head. He has a big leg kick and shows great balance on his swing despite the kick. He has a strong arm and good hands at shortstop and definitely projects to stay there at the next level. Also a pitcher, he sat at 87-88 mph throughout his outing while displaying a very quick arm. His slider is a work in progress at 74 mph but shows some promise.

Prep Baseball Report:

Currently an uncommitted 2019 who is presently homeschooled, Figueroa was extremely impressive in his short outing. He has present athleticism and a compact, repeatable and clean delivery. The arm action is compact, clean and quick as well. The fastball came out out the hand with very little effort and was an easy 88-91 mph. He also showed a short, hard curveball that had depth at 81-83 mph and a chance to be a true out pitch. There is a chance he reclassifies as a 2020, but as of right now he is one of the top 2019 arms available.

Weight: 175

B/T: L/L

School: Marshall

Year: Senior

DOB: 5/16/97

SCOUTING REPORT:

Baseball America:

Shapiro is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior lefthander that has been a sturdy presence in the rotation for Marshall. The lefthander has struggled with his control, but has pitched to a 3.58 ERA through 78 innings spanning across 14 starts. Shapiro works in the upper 80s with his fastball and shows a feel for pitching.

(Photo: Perfect Game)

Height: 5'10

Weight: 165

B/T: S/R

School: Alvin CC (TX)

Year: Freshman

DOB: 8/3/00

SCOUTING REPORT:

Perfect Game (From 2018):

Odrick Pitre is a 2018 SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends Academia La Milagros. Medium frame with athletic, slender, highly projectable present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Switch-hitter, sets up from right side with narrow stance, coils into back hip well in load, shows good hand speed onto line drive plane, does a good job controlling the barrel and hitting hard liners. Similar set up from left side, compact path out front without much weight shift, showed better bat speed and juice off the barrel from the right side. Very good defensively in the infield, smooth footwork to both sides with good range to both sides as well, fields cleanly and makes clean, efficient transfers. Showed very good arm strength across the diamond, with throws clocked up to 89 MPH. Good student.

ROUND 36 (1093rd overall): Keegan McCarville, RHP

(Photo: Twitter)

Height: 6'1

Weight: 210

B/T: R/R

School: Santa Clara University

Year: Junior

DOB: 2/3/98

SCOUTING REPORT:

Perfect Game (From 2018):

McCarville was one of the pitching leaders on a very good South Mountain team, accruing a team-leading 96 innings on the mound this spring. He went 7-3 with a 2.44 ERA across those innings, racking up 112 strikeouts as compared to only 18 walks. He's a sinker-slider type of pitcher who is also a bit undersized, working in the 88-92 mph range for the most part with good sink and excellent strike-throwing ability. His slider is an average pitch that works quite well when paired with his fastball, but McCarville does not project to miss as many bats at the professional level as he did in junior college.

ROUND 39 (1183rd overall): Harrison Beethe, RHP

(Photo: Twitter)

Height: 6'4

Weight: 225

B/T: R/R

School: North Iowa Area CC

Year: Sophomore

DOB: 4/3/98

SCOUTING REPORT:

Baseball America:

Beethe is a 6-foot-4, 210-pound righthander that sits in the 93-95 mph range with his fastball. He throws a below-average breaking ball and has difficulty throwing consistent strikes.

Prep Baseball Report:

Three-quarter slot righty with an unorthodox arm action. FB 90-94 mph, had some jump out of his hand. Showed an occasional flat 79-81 SL. Tough day finding strike zone, struggled to find timing with delivery and as a result a consistent release point.

ROUND 40 (1213rd overall): Tyler Keysor, RHP

Keysor_Tyler47.jpg?width=300

(Photo: University of Miami)

Height: 6'5

Weight: 225

B/T: R/R

School: Miami

Year: Junior

DOB: 12/8/97

SCOUTING REPORT:

Baseball America (From 2018):

Our No. 1 prospect in the Florida Collegiate League last summer, Keysor is a Miami signee with a low-90s fastball that can touch 95. His low-80s changeup has some late movement and he mixes in a high-70s curveball with promising break.

Prep Baseball Report (From 2018):

The long, lanky right-hander did not have the same command and velocity as he did in the fall. Was up to 95 in the fall, was 89-91 the entire outing. Struggled with command early, but showed the ability to make an adjustment and work seven innings. The fastball has some late arm side run and life when down in the zone. The slider was below average on the outing. Soft, slurvy and did not have much late action. Has shown a better slider in the fall. he changeup is his best off speed pitch. Has feel, throws from same fastball tunnel with late fade. There is deception and the fastball could play back up in the pen at the next level
