I think the Crew could get him to come back with a 3 year, $48 million deal with a mutual option for year four at $20 million with a $6 million buyout.

By that point, one of Henry, Feliciano, or Fry will be ready to take over.

At this point with his issues on D maybe make him the first baseman. It's a black hole right now.

If Shaw rebounds, the Crew could then bring up Erceg, let Moose walk, and Grandal, while not the best on D, would provide a margin for error offensively.

Maybe move him to first for the last year of the deal depending on how fast Henry/Feliciano/Fry make it up, but Grandal is a top offensive catcher.

Glad the Brewers didn’t take my advice and sit Braun today. Nice to see the slump ending. Thames making Aguilar obsolete would be just fine with me.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Lyles gets a ground ball to move a runner up. Davies could have done just that.

Or he could have hit into a double play.

With runners on second and third? Not likely.

It's also harder to move runners up with them already on 2nd and 3rd.

When I saw this post was after Davies struck out with a runner on first & one out.

Lyles moved a runner up after Davies first at bat, so I thought you were referincing what had just happened, not what happened earlier in the game.
