Am I the only one who’s been disappointed with how Guerra’s pitched out of the pen? Even when he wasn’t giving up runs it should be stuff that plays up and it just doesn’t.

In general I'm not. He's got a 3.00 ERA through 30 IP. He's been good. If he was doing better he'd be in pretty impressive company.

Right down the middle FB Guerra. No harm in walking him. Grooves a FB down the middle.

Better than walking in multiple runs. At least they earned it.

Yeah middle middle FBs should be every pitch. Works for Burnes.

Huh? Yeah, walk every one, much better. Jeeesh.

Somebody less lazy than me will probably look it up but I wonder what his strand rate is. Seems like he lets a lot of inherited runners to score but that might not be accurate.

Cain is always almost hurt. Every play he has to move on, even walking to the plate the guy looks like he is "almost" hurt.

What are you talking about? Only took him 20 seconds to get up from that swing!

Would it be a bad thing if we didn't have a right hand hitting 1B?

Not if we had a lefty who was even remotely effective vs lefties. Shaw/Thames have pretty brutal splits if I remember correctly. Almost to the point it can’t be worse...

True, but worse than 2019 Aguilar?

They were best in baseball RISP until recently. My problem with the offense is with home run or nothing. No moving runners over, runner at 3rd less than 2 out > stranded, etc. can’t win playoff games vs great pitching with the all or nothing offense, just look no further than last year vs the dodgers.

Who cares how you get the runs so long as you get them. Your premise that there is only one way to create offense is just wrong. Offense is not the problem with this team.

Worst in baseball at scoring the the runner at 3rd with less than 2 outs a problem. Worst in baseball with the bases loaded a problem. Virtually never manufacturing runs a problem. How many more wins with just a modicum of success in those areas?

You really need to stop altering reality to hype your takes. It's annoying.

:laughing

I'm aware that that's your go to response when you are asked to be logical or accurate. That or just run from it.

Probably marginal at best. I'd bet that notion would be hard to prove one way or the other.
