Real nice outing from Nelson.

What to do about our 23 year old catcher who is killing the ball in A, who is blocked behind 2 younger catchers in A+. Nice problem to have but Fry has to get a shot to climb.

Losing Streak Runs to Four Straight as Mudcats Fall 9-1 in Winston-Salem

Wes Rogers went 3-for-3 with a double, two stolen bases and a run in Wednesday's loss

LHP Clayton Andrews started in CF, he's now 1-for-8 (BB, K) at the plate.

RHP Chris Dula's WHIP is now 3.41, ouch.

The Mudcats were right behind first-place Down East when catalyst Joantgel Segovia was promoted to Biloxi. The backfill was 21-year-old infielder Julio Garcia, now 3-for-51 with one walk. That swap has helped send Carolina into a tailspin.

AUDIO via the Rattler Radio Soundcloud: "In tonight's postgame podcast, Chris Mehring and Kyle Lobner go through the marathon of a game that saw 24 runs, 32 hits, and seven errors. There were a lot of turning points and the hosts pick the weirdest plays of the night. Hitting Coach Dave Joppie, Je'Von Ward, and Double Dave Fry are here for Clubhouse Comments, too. This one is packed, #TRatNation!"

From Chris' detailed summary: "Manny Piña caught five innings and left after going 1-for-2 with an RBI, a hit batsman, and a strikeout. He will continue his rehabilitation assignment on Thursday as the Rattlers designated hitter. If all goes well Piña will catch nine innings on Friday in the final game of his assignment with the Rattlers."
