It's actually crazy to think how close they are to undefeated in conference. At the very least, just flip that ILL game and they're at 5-1. For how blah the team is that's crazy. And I guess for all the Gard bashers, after 6 games in the B1G they've been in every single one until the end. Chances are that's not the case on Friday vs MSU but considering how things looked at 5-5 overall it's kind of impressive.

Is it right that Pritz is the only senior on their roster? Man this team will be crazy deep next year with the addition of a highly respected incoming class (although I am guessing some of those guys will redshirt)

If Potter had been eligible the whole season they could be a top 10 team right now. They didn't have any close wins in that stretch (thus there is no way Potter's poor defense/taking time from Reuvers+ would have caused a loss), and there is a very good chance they win against St. Mary's and perhaps flip 1-3 of the Richmond, New Mex, NCSt and Rutgers losses to wins.

Realistically they are a true 6-9 seed with a ceiling of a 3 seed and a floor of a play-in game. The odds of them tanking to the point of missing the tourney are about the same as the odds of winning the B1G and getting a 1 seed (have to nearly run the table for that). Neither of those are going to happen.

Yup, add in Potter and I think you can chalk up at least two more wins from the games you listed. Possibly more. Also, perhaps the team is meshed better and they beat Ill then, who knows. Potter did play a part in that ILL come back by taking a terrible fadeaway with a ton of time left on the clock when up 6, long rebound led to run out 3 for ILL, whole game changed from that point on.

MSU just came off a blowout loss. Bad timing to have to play at their place their next game.

That's about what a win against a bad B1G team should look like. Purdue is on the ropes a bit (had a big win against MSU but then got blown out by Illinois), so we'll see how that goes Friday. I think the Boilers may be desperate for a win, and Painter has a good record against Gard IIRC, so I'm not overly optimistic. Still, it's a chance for another big road win.

Kobe King not traveling with the team to attend to a "personal matter". Rumors floating around that he's not happy. Ugh.

I'm sorry, and I know the rule, but that F1 on Davison is so weak. It didn't cost the Badgers the game (their inability to score over the last 7 minutes did), but that hook rule gets interpreted in really ticky-tack ways.

I don't know what to make of Wisconsin. They played tough, but they are just generally uninspiring. I would say they are more likely than not to get a bid, but I think there's a decent chance the B1G just gets to them and they end up 9-11 in league, and 15 losses is a lot...

Right call or not (it probably was), the rule needs to be looked at. That foul occurred BEFORE Iowa scored. So they got the two points, THEN reviewed it, made the call and gave Iowa 2 FT and the ball on top of that. So they essentially got 6 points. In that situation, if they're going to call the flagrant (which happened before the score and they reviewed it immediately afterwards), it would make sense to wipe away the basket, reset the clock and then foul the flagrant rules. By doing it the way they did (and probably correctly), it essentially ended the game as Iowa got I think 5 points on the possession (they missed one FT too).

The refs made it tough - Iowa shot three times as many FT, including on 7 of their last 10 possessions. But the Badgers just inability to score strikes again, as with just marginal offense the last 7 minutes, this is a nice road win - same thing happened the last few minutes of the Illinois game too.
