So which pitcher shows up tonight? Houser or Quaid?

Howdy stranger, it's Howsa! I need to tell you that you, are not really you.

Ok I'll stop now

Adrian Houser threw 19 pitches in 1 1/3 innings of work on Saturday night. I imagine that even though he's stretched out as a starter, he'll be on a pretty tight pitch count tonight. I would guess 2 innings or 40 pitches, whichever comes first.

I could see him going four or five, with a count of 80.

19 pitches isn't that much, and he has had two day's rest from that.

Let's keep this thing rolling! I'm guessing the Nationals will play better than last night. They had to be pretty worn out after the long Sunday. Any word on Cain?

I think the bigger problem with the Nationals is having several of their top players (Turner, Rendon, Soto, Zimmerman, and Adams to name a few) out with injuries. Taylor just returned from injury in mid game yesterday and Rendon is back in the lineup tonight.

The Brewers have to take advantage of the opportunity to beat a team that is at far less than full strength.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Seeing Grandal’s weak arm and consisting dropping of pitches, it makes me really glad he has nice offensive skills.

He does drop a lot of pitches, but is his arm that weak?

Not at all. Half his throws to second base nearly wind up in centerfield. Another 10% do.

My statement was probably skewed in that I can’t recall him throwing anyone out, yet Pina regularly does. But the drops are pretty ridiculous. The first week of the season he cost his pitchers several strikes. Today He has dropped two strokes that weren’t tipped.
