Braun showing signs of life? 3 for his last 5. It would really help if he started producing some again.

For those that missed it, Adam McCalvy asked Craig Counsell this afternoon if the change in pitching coaches had an impact on the pitching struggles. Here is video of Counsell’s answer: Does the departure of Derek Johnson explain the Brewers’ pitching problems?

Translation: "Yes"

At least he was honest. We all know it so kudos to him for acknowledging it.

LOL. Did you watch the link? I assumed Pina may have lost something in translation, but for those who don't want to watch the link, CC did the typical exasperated evasion of the question, shaking his head and saying "I can't answer that, Chris Hook is doing a great job, we need to pitch better"

I am surprised they overturned that out call. It didn’t look clear either way, seems like they should have stuck with the call on the field. I’ve pretty much given up trying to guess the outcome of replay reviews.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

The only way to quiet the Johnson talk is to pitch better, which I’m confident will happen moving forward.

Nice of Woodruff to show promise as the other two young guys completely fell on their faces.

At least we have something going for us.

Woodruff is the oldest and most experienced of the three, so I guess it stands to reason that his growing pains haven't been as severe. It is great to see him pitching well, though.

Was that the Marquette Jump Around guy who played some good foul ball defense there?

Edit:

Google + MLB.TV's DVR confirms it!

Woodruff with another good start throwing all three pitches for strikes. Braun has a good game for once... what's going on?
