Brewers prospect Max Lazar off to strong start with Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Jordan Jacobson, Appleton Post-Crescent

Quotes from Max, Manager Matt Erickson, and Pitching Coach Jim Henderson within...

And remember, it's La-Zar'.

Same cadence as Bi-zarre', although there's nothing bizarre about Max or this nice feature article.

Sanchez has to be one of the next up when it comes to giving guys a shot to see if they can get big league hitters out in the pen.

Also, Hiura had a solid day, 1 for 6 1 BB, 1 HR, but the game he was 1-3 in, 2K's and a bomb. I saw that the team struck out 13 times, so maybe they were facing a good staff, but without actually watching him play, it really seems like he's selling out a bit for more power. 8 Hr's is great, but I'd sacrifice a couple to get the BB rate to 10 pct and the K rate down in the 20's at least.

Of course, maybe that's just what and the org decided they wanted him to try to achieve at AAA this year. Or maybe he tried to change the launch angle to become more of a power hitter?

Just speculation if anyone can speak on any of these issues from seeing him.
