Someone is going to have to convince me why we still value Tristen Lutz so highly. I'm just not seeing it.

He's 20 and very aggressively placed in High-A ball after a respectable season in Appleton as a 19 year old. Looking at fangraphs, the scouts love him and he's currently in the top 100. Are you literally "just not seeing it" as in, you only occasionally browse box scores? Or have you watched him play a lot and have legitimate concerns about something? (Honest question, since I've watched him considerably less this season as he no longer plays games 20 minutes from my house.)

AUDIO via the 'Turn a Pair Baseball Podcast': "Aaron Kurcz, a former 10th round pick of the Chicago Cubs, was out of affiliated baseball. He made a video of himself pitching and posted it on twitter. As a result he's now pitching for the Brewers AA team in Biloxi. He shares the details along with stories from his time playing college ball with Bryan & Bryce Harper."

Dylan File is one of the Brewers' better pitching prospects. Love that guy. Everything moves, and he controls the offspeed stuff well.

I assume he's not a hard thrower?

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I've seen some varying gun readings on him. He's not a soft-tosser by any stretch, he'll sit in the low 90's. I've seen him hit 94-95, though not this year yet.

If you have access to MiLB.TV, go to the bottom of the 3rd. With two outs and the bases loaded, he starts Tyler Payne with a called strike on a slow curve, and then absolutely eats him alive with two straight 4-seamers. Just gross.

That sounds like a promising pitcher that no one talks about. Thanks for the info.
