The Dodgers currently are sporting a .621 OPS against Davies. Its with 71 AB's so not an incredibly small sample. It would be nice to get the first game of the series to keep the momentum going.

He has done well, and I expect him to do so again, but honestly that still is an incredibly small sample, essentially 2 games or 3 starts worth.

Random meaningless stat, April 18th last year was Davies best start of the season in terms of both the length of innings pitched and earned runs. He gave up just 3 hits and 0 runs to the Reds over 6.1 innings pitched at Miller Park. He didn’t have another outing where he didn’t give up earned runs and he never lasted more than 6.0 innings the rest of the season. Obviously he didn’t pitch from the Brewers from June through August either.

How much longer do we have Braun under contract?

At least through 2020 there is a buyout for $4m in 2021 which seems like the Brewers will do this.

And he will get $1.8 million each year from 2022-2031. We will have our very own Ryan Braun Day!

I know this isn’t any new revelation, but the Brewers really can’t afford both Aguilar and Shaw to be in a massive slump at the same time for an extended period this season.

Zach Davies looks good. Would be nice to get another inning, but I imagine that’s not happening.

I'm not sure 20 pitches an inning qualifies as great but he as held that lineup down for five innings. I'll certainly take it over the home run derby games we've seen from some of the starters.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
