2019-04-15: Cardinals (Hudson) at Brewers (Peralta) [Brewers win, 10-7 -- Christian Yelich gives away a puppy, hits 3 home runs, tallies 7 RBI, makes sliding and diving catches, sheepishly obliges to curtain call]

I am now convinced we need a clubhouse dog that yelich can play with before the game.
Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

93-95 against Toronto last exhibition game out of the pen. Curve is a plus pitch and command plus. Bulldog mentality. Gonna help us out of the pen this year.

Yeah, he really pours it on out of the pen.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

He was 90-93 in Spring Training.

If he was there in March, I think that would likely translate to 95 coming out of the pen.

In any case, it is a strong possibility that Brown and Houser would be upgrades for the pen.

Every report I just looked at had him topping out at 93. So sitting at 95-96, even moving from the rotation to the pen is probably pushing it.

Not if he was at 93-95 in that Montreal exhibition. But who knows if that was a fast gun?

Yelich gave a "my bad." Perhaps he didn't call Arcia off. Obviously, the outfielder has priority, but maybe Yelich wasn't sure if he could get to the ball and never called off Arcia.

Horsefeathers. That damn Arcia is a ball hog. He had no business going out there. :angry He is a good defender but somebody has to tell that clown that he isn't the only guy out there to make a play.

Khrush is a better LF than that clown STL has.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

You seem upset.

I'm firmly convinced Arcia could go 4 for 5 with 3 dingers and 8 RBI, and people would still talk mad crap about him for making an out and call him names and whatnot. Dude is seriously the BF.net whipping boy.

I think it's a rule that there has to be one, so...............

I know I’m in the minority around here but I love watching him play. He has frustrating moments but he’s just so talented. Still very young too.
