Warning before you look at the past pitcher versus batter results, the Dodgers have hit Chacín very well in previous outings. Bellinger is already on an otherworldly hot streak as it is, maybe not the worst day to pitch around him.

Chacin did pretty well against the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLCS last year so I will hope for something like that. Pitching around Bellinger the way he has been hitting is probably not a bad idea for anyone now.
Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This has all the feel of a lay down loss of the Dodgers go up a few runs early.

I wouldn't say lay down, but yes, this feels like a game that's already over.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the lay down part. What the offense is doing looks like laying down to me and Chacin isn't far behind. For the record "lay down" doesn't mean not trying.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

This staff is going to set a ding dongs record by the ASG.

That’s ok, as long as we keep winning

They're not going to with the way they've played and a negative run differential. Been very lucky so far this year to have the record they have.

Now they do have a lot of players who could improve and it's really early. But their current level of play so far in 2019 won't get them anywhere in the long run.
