Serious Inquiry: Is there any official word if the Brewer/ Indian Co-op team is continuing in the DOSL for 2019???

The foreign affiliated teams has not been added to the 2019 Baseball Reference page so I am looking for some insight..

I was at the game Thursday in OKC. Stokes and Ray got in a very visible argument in the outfield on two occasions and I remember thinking, it’s nothing they have played together for a long time now. Not saying that’s anything to do with this, but maybe?

Catching up on some moves -

Sunday 4/7:

When Taylor Williams was activated at AAA, RHP Tristan Archer was placed (again) on the paper Rocky Mountain roster, surely he's still staying with the club. Archer has toiled well in the past, paid his dues in winter ball (and thrived there), and yet, in his 7th season of pro ball (and last under Milwaukee control), he's on the bubble. Would like to see players become available for minor league free agency after five pro seasons instead, perhaps adjusting for international and high school signings with a 6th year. Regardless, to me, Archer deserves better.

Tuesday 4/9:

OF Wes Rogers was signed as a minor league free agent, assigned to extended spring and Rocky Mountain for now. He has five years in the Colorado system (4th round, 2014).

Friday 4/12:

RHP Drew Rasmussen activated at Wisconsin (from Rocky Mountain)

LHP Wilfred Salaman assigned to the Rocky Mountain roster

Via the Mudcats:

4/14: RHP Chris Dula transferred to Carolina Injured List

4/14: RHP Gabe Friese added to Carolina active roster

In four appearances covering three innings, Dula had walked eight in the early going.

A Sunday's Link Report indicates, Friese himself may have to hit the injured list himself.

LHP Jake Drossner Career Notes:

2017 - Exited his first start and missed the remainder of the season, later undergoing left shoulder surgery on 8/23, performed by Dr. David Altchek

2018 - Missed the entire season as he recovered from left shoulder surgery.

Shoulder injuries and rehab are the worst. The Brewers released the 2015 Helena Brewer and 2016 Wisconsin Timber Rattler Wednesday.

Losing your career aspirations based purely on performance is tough. The injury path must be tough to swallow.

Best wishes to Jake.

Via the Missions and Brewers Player Development Staff:

OF Corey Ray placed on Injured List

LHP Brad Kuntz transferred from Rocky Mountain to San Antonio

C Skyler Ewing transferred from San Antonio to Rocky Mountain

C David Freitas acquired by Milwaukee in trade with Seattle and optioned to San Antonio (4/15) and activated 4/17

Catchers Nottingham, Gosewisch, and Freitas all active at AAA, with Ewing likely still on-site to assist as bullpen catcher / taxi squad.

Adam McCalvy learned about the nature of Ray's injury:

Corey Ray hurt his right middle finger (glove hand) diving for a ball yesterday. He has some swelling, but it’s not expected to be a long absence.

I missed this somewhere along the line, what's the story with Jake Gatewood?

Hope he's doing well and get back on the field ASAP. With the way Thames and Aguilar are, 1B is his for the taking!

I like his tools, but he really hasn't been very productive in the minors yet. At this point he's a 1b prospect because our system is devoid of a 1st base prospect

Updates out of Biloxi:

The Biloxi Shuckers, Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, announced a pair of roster moves on Friday prior to their doubleheader against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. RHP Thomas Jankins has been promoted to Triple-A San Antonio and RHP Justin Topa has been added to the Shuckers roster from the Rocky Mountain Vibes.

Jankins moves up to Triple-A for the second time in his career. During the 2018 season, Jankins appeared in one game for Triple-A Colorado Springs, pitching five shutout innings on August 30. The 23-year-old righty earns a promotion after going 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in three starts with the Shuckers this season. Jankins tossed the first complete game of his career on April 7 against Birmingham, allowing one unearned run in seven innings of work while retiring the final 17 batters that he faced. In 2018, Jankins became the first Biloxi Shuckers pitcher ever to win five straight starts and was named a Southern League Midseason All-Star.

In a corresponding move, Topa has been added to the Shuckers pitching staff. A 17th-round pick by the Pirates in 2013 out of LIU Brooklyn, Topa was signed as a minor-league free agent by the Brewers after pitching in the Rangers organization during the 2018 season. Following a four-game stint with the Rockland Boulders of the independent Can-Am League to start the 2018 season, Topa pitched in nine games with the Frisco Roughriders last year, going 2-3 with a 5.71 ERA over six starts and three relief appearances. During his five-year career, Topa has pitched in 88 games, appearing as a reliever in 45 games.

I haven’t heard anything about Clayton Andrews since Spring Training. Is he hurt at the moment or is something else going on?

Roster Update: Francis to Double-A; Andrews added from AZL Brewers Blue

The Brewers promoted RHP Bowden Francis from the Mudcats to Double-A Biloxi and transferred LHP Clayton Andrews to the Mudcats from the AZL Brewers Blue
