A bit of a schedule quirk that over half of the season series versus the Cardinals will be complete by April 24th this year (10 of 19 games).

It’d sure be nice to win 7-8 of those.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

7 would be amazing. I would be happy with 6.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Really excited to see Burnes' start today. I truly believe that he and Woodruff are going to establish themselves as legit #1-2-type starters, and while there will be some ups and downs, I think we're going to look back on this season as the start of something very good. I am optimistic for Peralta as well, but I think it may take him longer.

Burnes is going to be the ace we’ve wanted for a long long time. He is legit.

Woodruff ain't far behind if at all. A long way to go but perhaps the best one two punch ever developed internally for this organization with regard to starting pitching.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
