Things are looking good for summertime! This is EASILY the deepest Brewer team in my memory. They've been inconsistent, but there is always a talented player to step in when somebody else is scuffling. There are no scrubs from 1-35+ on the roster.

I am just now noticing that I am using the same avatar as you. I will change mine post haste.

Starting with the Giants series, Brewers hitters have a MLB-worst .254 BABIP, while Brewers piching has the 8th highest BABIP at .303. That pitching number is actually identical to the full season number for the Brewers (Which might suggest either some bad luck, or that the defense sucks), but if Brewers have had their season .294 BABIP on offense, results could've been different.

A team is never as bad as it looks on a losing streak, and never as good as it looks on a winning streak.

The Brewers have won the last 6 games that I have attended in person. They WILL win today as well!

For as tough as this 10-game stretch has been for the Brewers, the Cubs have only been one game better over that time.

Which hurts even more knowing we could have put some ground between us with just a decent little run.

Pessimism in the optimism thread. Way to stay on brand!

But we won yesterday, so this is probably the start of a fierce run of wins to go into the all star break!!

Fixed it...

The Dodgers are 34-9 at Dodger Stadium this season.

Two of those nine loses were to the Brewers.

The Brewers are the only visiting team to have won a series at Dodger Stadium this season.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Over the last two weeks, Brewers offense have the lowest BABIP (.260) in the majors, and Brewers pitching have the second highest BABIP (.356) in the majors. Both those numbers regressing towards the mean, as they inevitably will, should see a rather significant improvement even if the level of play stays the same. The "not-in-play" stats like FIP/xFIP would have Brewers pitching as around average in this stretch.

This is the kind of post the world has been waiting for. Let's go on a streak until the all star break!
