2019 BREWERS OPTIMISM THREAD

torts

I love this team so much. They put their best out there, and the Nat's just got lucky with some calls, and took advantage of the situation they got. Cant be upset, they were at 6% odds of making the playoffs a month ago, and they crushed everyone to almost win the division. WITHOUT YELLI! OMG I CANT EVEN <3

I can't wait for February. This is going to be a great off-season, I can feel it. New thread is coming...

so every year, in march or so at the end of spring training, my dad and I usually talk about the brewers chances, and the conversation almost always ends up with both of us agreeing that this is the year, they're going to win it all. Without pause, it is followed with the Cubs can jump in the river and the Cards can take a hike, the division is ours. This has happened for years, pretty much since the year after Braun won ROY, and it was like, okay, this team actually drafted/developed talent, this is going to be fun again! 2008 was insane, 2012 was bonkers, 2018 was next level.

Well, my dad passed away in February, and I never had that conversation this Spring. I may have been a bit more over-the-top with my optimism this year, I live in "enemy" territory, and my friends root against the Brewers, and I no longer had my sounding board, so you all got the brunt of it. This year has been really hard to stay positive, there are a few bright things happening, but baseball has been my distraction from everything, and this forum and thread has been great to have.

2020, BREWERS WINNING IT ALL GUYS. CUBS CAN JUMP IN THE RIVER. CARDS CAN TAKE A HIKE. DIVISION IS OURS!!!!!!

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.

Great share.... so thankful that we all have something so shallow (men hitting and throwing a ball) yet meaningful to share with family members.

I think the best part about this season is the same as last season. It isn't the end of a long rebuild culminating in "the" shot at the title. It is just another year where we had a legitimate shot at it. There is no reason to think next season will be any different except perhaps a better ending. Putting out a competitive team ear in and year out is the promise Stearns and company made to us. So far they have kept it.
There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.
