Correct me if I'm wrong or if this has been mentioned before, but despite not being in the playoffs as of today, the Brewers control their own fate, right?

If the Brewers win out, there's no way that the Cards/Cubs/Nats can all win enough games to stay in front of us.

True as I can see it.

It's possible we could tie the Nats. If they lose two to the Cards, they could win the rest and end with an identical 93-69 record. In that scenario, though, we'd definitely pass either the Cubs or the Cards.

Winning out, as I look at the math, seems to me like worst case scenario is hosting the WC game.

Edit: And I'm wrong. We could win out and finish WC 2 if the Nats also win out or go 12-1. We'd still pass the Cubs/Cards, though.

If they win out, and pass the Cards/Cubs, then they are NL Central champions.

NO NEED TO HOST A WILD CARD GAME!!!!!

13 games over .500 and we secure a winning season!! This is only the second time we have had back to back to back winning seasons which matches the 78-80 seasons. (They averaged 90 wins and we would have to finish with 90 wins to match that)

With win number 82, the 2019 Brewers move into a tie for 16th place in regular season wins with the 2014 squad.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

We have hosting rights in any tie situation, right? Whether that be a Game 163, Game 164, or WC game?

The Brewers have home field advantage in every tie scenario.

...not against the Cardinals.

Playoff odds are up to 48.8% on espn.

Up to 60% on 538 with the Cardinals loss. Still behind the Cubs, Cardinals and Nats though. Just so many paths to the playoffs we are now likely to find one of them.

Pretty much this. If the Brewers just take care of business, with the way the schedule is laid out for the teams in front of them, they're in really good shape right now.

This is just insane right now! I can't believe this run. Craig is doing a heck of a job piecing this thing together. I'm sure it's super stressful, but also a lot of fun for a baseball mind. Really enjoyable seeing how this all plays out each night.

The division may be out of reach but the #1 WC spot definitely is. Getting the 1 WC game at Miller Park would be great! :)

No way!!! Division title here we come!!!!
