Brent Suter. Not sure I need to say more but I will. This cat has been a pivotal component of our team’s heart since he’s been called up several years ago. He is our identity. All he does is go out and pitch amazing, wicked smart baseball IQ, while keeping everyone in the clubhouse in good spirits. Suter since coming back from his injury has been dominant. So fun to watch and I’m optimistic that his run of success will continue while bringing an with him the fun/energy/passion/heart into the clubhouse.

Suter y’all!

Since the sweep by the Cubs the first weekend in August the Brewers have actually been playing good baseball and mostly against good teams. 19-11 over that stretch with only 2 series against bad team - Pirates and Marlins (who they have went 6-0 against).

6 wins (including the Cubs twice, Dbacks and a decent Rangers team) - 15-5

2 splits (against Twins and Astros) - 2-2

3 losses (twice to Cards and once to the Nationals) - 2-4

With playing bad teams better lately maybe that means the Brewers can really take advantage of this schedule coming up. They have one more game against the worst record in the NL, then series against the next 4 worst records in the NL with the Cards mixed in.

Bravo to the guys for gutting out these wins after Yeli went down! It says a lot about the makeup of this group for them to keep winning after such a gut punch. :) The Marlins aren't very good but they do have some hitters on that roster and it isn't easy to sweep a team in a 4 game series.

The Brewers have won 7 straight, and should be just a half game back from the Division lead when that streak hits 10 games this weekend.

EDIT: Since the Cardinals are playing right now, it'll either be a tie or a full game back by the end of the weekend. Still worth talking about!

11 games over .500

And suddenly, with the two series between the cubs and cards and playing teams that have given up- we control our own destiny. Wow
